The Fresh Scent Profile

The fragrance in the Fresh Package starts sharp — mandarin and pear with a twist of pepper that stops it being merely citrus. The heart is floral but restrained, and then the base does something none of our other collections attempt: cedarwood and leather give it a dry, almost austere finish. That makes Fresh the least conventionally feminine scent we produce and the one most likely to be worn by anyone in the household.

How to Layer the Fragrance

One product on its own fades faster than most people expect. Applied in order, five pieces hold each other in place — which is the entire reason a set beats a single bottle.

1. Start with the shower gel. Fragrance anchors better to freshly washed skin.
2. On damp skin, apply the lotion or the butter — lotion for hot days, butter for dry skin and cold weather.
3. Add the body splash at pulse points once the moisturiser has absorbed. Wrists, neck, behind the ears.
4. Finish with hair mist. Hair retains scent far longer than skin, which is what stretches the fragrance across the day.

In that sequence the scent usually lasts six to eight hours rather than three. Jumping straight to the splash is the most common error, and it explains why a fragrance can seem to disappear when it had nothing underneath to hold it.
